Vanyavilas has 25 luxury tents spread over 20 acres of land. Each
air-conditioned tent has an area of 790 sq ft, and has beautifully appointed
interiors with polished wooden flooring. All tents have large,
well-appointed, luxurious bathrooms with freestanding Victorian bathtubs and
separate shower stalls. The tents are surrounded by a private walled garden
and a private deck for sun bathing.
Restaurant
Dining options at Vanyavilas include an all-day restaurant that also offers
an option of outdoor dining, al fresco style, in an intimate courtyard. The
courtyard adjoins the restaurant and is enhanced by a central fireplace. In
the evenings, local musicians play a selection of traditional Rajasthani
music to complete the experience. A traditional Library Bar offers a cozy
retreat in which to relax, with a wide variety of international beverages,
wines and cigars. The poolside is a perfect setting to unwind, and enjoy a
selection of snacks and refreshing beverages. Menus are changed everyday and
include a wide
variety of Asian and Continental cuisine. The repertoire includes
Indian kebabs, curries, game food, rustic stews, pot roasts and homemade ice
creams. The central fireplace and the ambience in the courtyard makes
outdoor dining, especially on a moonlit night, a truly special experience.
Library Bar
The library includes a wide range of leather bound and coffee table books ,
as well as magazines on wild life. There are also avariety of board games
such as backgammon and chess. At the Bar, guests can select from the world's
finest beverages, ranging from champagne and sparkling wines to the best
Scotch and Malts, accompanied by special cigars.
Pool Bar
The pool is surrounded by beautifully arched walls and overlooks the main
water body with fountains, beyond which are the Aravalli ranges. The pool
bar offers a snack menu and a variety of cocktails, spirits and wines.
Recreation
Recreational facilities include the exciting jungle safari and elephant
rides. Within the resort there is a Billiards Room, Fitness Tent, heated
swimming pool, a library offering a variety of books, a selection of digital
video discs, restful therapy suites offering a variety of holistic
rejuvenating treatments, a lecture room for films and talks on wildlife by
Mr. Fateh Singh, a well known naturalist and former Chief Conservator of the
Reserve. The fitness tent offers a good range of cardiovascular equipment
alongwith a selection of free weights. There is also a 52 ft-high
observation tower from where guests can look out onto parts of the park and
its wildlife.
